Customer called for Smart AC warning. Evaluated the system for any issues. Found that supply sensor was placed on a return grill, moved to a supply. Customers couch was covering supply registers in living room, moved couch to allow air to flow into room. Adjusted blower speed after finding that supply temp was only 110 in high heat, system is now operating at 120. Advised customer to call if they feel it needs further adjustment and just let us know if it’s doing alright.

Completed furnace maintenance and inspection.I checked all components and amp draws. I cleaned up flame sensor amd furnace. I tested airflow and temp splits. Found vent for basement closed. Opened that up. Furnace is running within manufacture specifications. Thank you for your time today. Installed water heater and tub drain. Will return next week to replace the main shut off.

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I ran a static pressure test. This unit is rated for a maximum of .8 and your system is testing at .67 which is consider “high” by the manufacturer. Next, I checked the running amps on the inducer and blower motor and both were testing within specs. Next, I ran a CO test and got a hit leaking Carbon Monoxide. I then looked at the flame chambers and heat exchanger/evaporator coil. The coil and drain pan have microbial growth on it. The flame chambers are showing rust and condensation. The heat exchanger is rusted and has a crack that it is leaking CO from. Per the EPA Rules & Regulations we are required to shut the furnace down and add a “Red Tag” stating the unit is not safe to operate at this time. Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Checked static pressure and found it is failing. Did not want to move forward with options from last visit. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. Heat exchanger looks good. Good split between return and supply air. All electrical components are running properly at this time. I changed one furnace filter today. System is running upon departure. This is not a reflection on Johann but the LBA sales team. This is now the second system I have bought from LBA (who has been servicing my home the entire 8 yrs I’ve owned it) that wasn’t properly scoped for my house (1st was a water softener that I had no out drain to, so they had to set up a severely undersized hose and said deal with it). This time it’s my furnace that I purchased from them in 2020. Apparently my pressure readings were high and this was due to my out pipes only allotting half the pressure to release. This has been the same for 4yrs, if my house wasn’t configured correctly for the system you’re about to sell me, SAY SOMETHING. Cannot trust the LBA sales team which means I gotta find a new HVAC provider.
