Sold 1 star water heater and duct clean

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I ran a static pressure test. This unit has a max rating of .8 for static pressure and the system is testing right at the max of .8. Next, I noticed the water heater exhaust had rust on it. So, I inspected further and found a large hole on the back side of the exhaust pipe which will need to be replaced for safety reasons. I tested all electrical components and they tested within the manufacturer specifications. Temp rise was at 128 degrees (minus) 66 degrees = 62 degree temp rise is within specs. The blower wheel was very dirty and I pull recommend having it cleaned. The capacitor for the blower motor was still testing good at 100%. My Field Supervisor Nick has arrived to get some solutions put together for you. I did go ahead and replace the thermostat with a new model #8466 today. Went for a furnace inspection today. Did a static pressure test, it passed. Did a combustion analysis test, it passed. Did a gas leak test, no leaks. Filter is clean. Ducts are dirty. Inducer motor amperage passed. Gas burner assembly is very dirty. Gas pressure and pressure switch passed. Blower motor amperage passed and blower wheel is slightly dusty. Temp split between the supply and return duct passed. Exhaust flu is in good condition. When looking at the water heater, I noticed major corrosion on it. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Customer called for Smart AC warning. Evaluated the system for any issues. Found that supply sensor was placed on a return grill, moved to a supply. Customers couch was covering supply registers in living room, moved couch to allow air to flow into room. Adjusted blower speed after finding that supply temp was only 110 in high heat, system is now operating at 120. Advised customer to call if they feel it needs further adjustment and just let us know if it’s doing alright.

Completed furnace maintenance and inspection.I checked all components and amp draws. I cleaned up flame sensor amd furnace. I tested airflow and temp splits. Found vent for basement closed. This is not a reflection on Johann but the LBA sales team. This is now the second system I have bought from LBA (who has been servicing my home the entire 8 yrs I’ve owned it) that wasn’t properly scoped for my house (1st was a water softener that I had no out drain to, so they had to set up a severely undersized hose and said deal with it). This time it’s my furnace that I purchased from them in 2020. Apparently my pressure readings were high and this was due to my out pipes only allotting half the pressure to release. This has been the same for 4yrs, if my house wasn’t configured correctly for the system you’re about to sell me, SAY SOMETHING. Cannot trust the LBA sales team which means I gotta find a new HVAC provider.
