Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Checked static pressure and found it was failing. Checked blower speeds and set them correct. Walked the house and opened several vents and replace filter. Doing all this dropped static below the max. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. Heat exchanger looks good. Blower wheel is collecting dust and will need to be cleaned soon. All electrical components are running properly at this time. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.

Furnace Repair: A furnace that wouldn’t ignite was traced to a corroded ignition probe. I replaced the faulty part, cleaned the burners, and tested the system to ensure reliable ignition. The homeowner was relieved to have steady heat restored before an approaching snowstorm.

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I did a static pressure test. This unit is rated for a max static pressure of .5 and it’s testing at .78 total. Next, I checked the running amps on the inducer motor and it was testing right at the max allowed. I did a test for CO and my meter picked up 37ppm which is unsafe. We also looked at the heat exchanger and found it was rusty and cracked in lots of places. Per EPA Rules & Regulations we are required to “Red Tag” the furnace which means we have to turn the gas to the furnace off. After speaking further with Mary, we decided it would be in her best interest to go ahead and replace this system. Everything is setup to be installed this Friday December 13th, 2024. We will be replacing the entire system fixing ductwork, replacing a Shutoff Hills repairing the flu from the water heater and including a bypass humidifier. Install crew will be installing the smart sensors on the new system.

Sold furnace

Went for a furnace inspection today. Did a static pressure test, it failed. Did a carbon monoxide leak test, there is a leak. After looking at the heat exchanger, I noticed two holes in it. The furnace is disabled due to being unsafe. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Today the rooftop unit that serves the used car lot office was diagnosed as having a failed control board. The flame sensor was exposed to higher voltage than it was designed for. Due to this it was also replaced. The unit returned to proper function after these components were sourced, picked up and installed. The unit was visually checked and a carbon monoxide test was done. There is no CO inside of the supply ducts and in the occupied space. Factory parts were used in the repairs today. The parts as well as labor will be warrantied for one year from today. Completed furnace maintenance and inspection. I checked air pressure and temp splits. I tested all components and amp draws. I found no issues today. Furnace is running within manufacture specifications. I cleaned blower wheel and compartment, replaced filter, renewed membership and installed sensors.

Went for a furnace inspection today. Did a static pressure test, it passed. Changed filter. Did a carbon monoxide leak test, there is no leak. Combustion analysis test passed. Inducer motor amperage passed. Gas pressure met factory specifications and pressure switch passed. Temperature split from the supply and return duct passed. Blower wheel is clean and blower motor amperage passed. The other furnace won’t turn on. After inspecting the heat exchanger, I noticed severe rust and multiple cracks. The furnace is unsafe to run. Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Checked static pressure and found it was failing. Since we had completed work for it, I called a field supervisor out to see what the issue was. We found that some dampers were lose and had blown shut. We opened all the dampers and tightened them to stay open. Installed new filter and retested. Static is back down now. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. Heat exchanger is good. All electrical components are running properly at this time. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.

Arrived for hon heat. Upon inspection I found that the pressure switch port to inducer motor has blockage built up. Cleared the hose and the port. Turned system back on and system has been running for 35 minutes with no issue. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.
