Taking up space heaters

Out today for a couple of issues after install, namely the pull bar in hall bath is not present, however, there is no clearance behind the faucet for it. We will order a brushed nickel push in stopper to replace it with, upstairs bathroom widespread faucet is also missing pop-up rod, which we will also return to replace. Bad hx so sold new furnaces and water htr

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune ups. This home has 2 systems. I’m starting in the main floor unit. First, I ran a static pressure test. These units are rated for a maximum of .5 static pressure. The main floor tested at .95 and the 2nd floor unit tested at .7 so both units have failing static pressure. We did find that one of the 2 returns on the main floor was covered up with a large art picture. The homeowner moved the return down below the picture while I was in the home today which is awesome! Next, I did a CO test in both units and unfortunately both units are leaking carbon monoxide which is not something we take lightly. Per EPA Rules & Regulations I am required to shut the gas valve off so that you don’t turn the heat in by accident and harm yourself or anyone in the home. We also noticed that the exhaust flue on both units have rust on them and there is a crack at the top of the “Y” connection point where the furnace and water heater flues all meet and go out the roof. M

Went for a maintenance call today. Tested for static pressure, system is passing for static. Did a co test and Nico was detected when testing. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks were found for system. Temp split is passing. As well as all electrical connections for manufacture specifications. Did replace filter for customer. Humidifier water panel does need to be replaced. As well water valve and copper line. Does leak and close so no more leaks would occur. System is up and running before leaving. Came out here for a humming noise at the unit was making found out that the humidifier on the return Plenum was vibrating with the plastic itself. I’ll put some foam tape around the edge sort of sit on that and I also screwed every corner so there’s no place within the actual humidifier and the return Plenum noise stop customer is happy thank you for choosing LBA

Completed two system maintenance and inspection. I checked all components and a,p draws. I tested airflow and temp splits. I cleaned up furnaces and cleaned flame sensor. Changed out humidifier panel. Fixed filter slot since it wasn’t done when static filter was installed. I also fixed insulation in evap coil casing and customer opened some vents that were closed. This lowered the static pressure on the system. We are still really close to max rating however when I arrived we were over which is failed airflow. Both furnaces are running at departure.

Clean

Arrived for furnace maintenance on 4 systems. Checked static pressure on all systems and found it is failing on three of the four. The new upstairs system is within the max. Did carbon monoxide test on all systems and the readings were 0ppm. The heat exchanger on the west side main floor has heat stress and rust forming. I did not see holes or cracks. The other three are ok. All blower wheels are clean. All electrical components are running properly at this time on all systems. With customer approval I changed the humidifier water panels and the furnace filters on all four systems. All systems are running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.

Completed furnace inspection for customer. Components of heat cycle tested within manufacturer specifications. Static pressure was elevated, and remained high after changing air filter. Blower has a bearing chatter in his stage heat, amps are measuring high at 5.5A in hi heat, advised customer to monitor. Water heater appears to be back drafting, notified customer and advised how to correct. System operating normally upon departure.

Rewired electric heat strips. Ran the system and it had proper amp draw and a good temperature split. Also reprogrammed the 3 stat per customer liking.

Adjusted blower speeds and gas pressures. Furnace is up and running. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

12-11-24 The maintenance building chemical room area unit here by the garage door is not working. Call for heat from the thermostat you know what ignite and they shut down. Getting a flame failure code. Used a high-pressure air hose blow out the burner area and offices Wipe down their flame sensor, restarted the system. It’s working at this time.
