1-20-25 Picked up a new Belimo actuator control. Installed it in the upstairs office lobby area. I had removed the existing one to use it in the chiropractor office the other day to get them up and running. This was just replaced the ones that I removed.
Sold 2 star furnace
Upon arrival the heat was not working. The homeowner explained that Ramon was out on Friday last week and he replaced the inducer motor and the blower motor/module. After he replaced both motors the system ran almost all weekend. On Sunday, the system stopped heating. When I arrived the unit had no power to it. I checked the breaker panel and found the furnace breaker was tripped. I reset the breaker and then tried testing the unit. As soon as the unit came on it made a loud humming noise following by a popping sound and smoke which was very alarming. I can’t say for 100% certain what caused this but the next option would be replacing the control board and another new blower motor and I don’t think they should put that much money into this system since is already 11 years old. Customer went over options for replacement with my Field Supervisor Jamie. He will get you taken care of the rest of the way today. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call us! Arrived to remedy an inoperable furnace. Upon inspection found a fault code stating a board error. Verified that the control board is receiving the proper power. Cycled power and the system started heating as designed. Let the system run and jump into maximum capacity. Set the thermostat lower than the room temperature and the furnace shut down as it should. Set system back to a comfortable temperature and the furnace fired exactly as it should. Furnace is functioning properly at this time.

Upon arrival I began the tune up. First, I ran a static pressure test. This unit is rated for a maximum of .2 and the system is testing at 1.3 which is way over the max allowed and the reason for this is because the system only has 4 supply vents that only go to the main floor so what this means is that there isn’t enough room to release the air into the home which makes the static pressure rise. Next, I checked the running amps on the blower motor and it checked out within specifications. I took a temperature split on the unit and it was within specs at 41 degrees.
