Went for a furnace inspection today. Did a static pressure test, it failed. Did a carbon monoxide and gas leak test, no leaks. Combustion analysis test passed. Inducer motor amperage passed. Gas pressure and pressure switch passed. Exhaust flu is in good condition. Temperature split between the supply and return duct passed. Blower motor amperage passed and blower wheel is clean. Went for a maintenance call today. Tested for static pressure, system is passing. Did a co test and no co was detected when testing. Inspected heat exchanger no wear and tear. Did a temp split and is passing for manufacture specifications. As well as all electrical components. Blower wheel is clean. Did replace filter for customer. Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Found that the system operating with failing static pressure. Tried to relive enough static pressure to bring the system within manufacturers specifications, but was unable. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Cleaned the flame sensor and retested its performance. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Found that the fan for heating and cooling is coated in dust debris. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Found rust and the rivets that hold the heat exchanger together appear heavily deteriorated. Reached out to a field supervisor to verify inspection of the heat exchanger. Performed an electronic gas leak search. Found that the water heater is leaking gas out of the gas valve. Spoke with homeowner about the system. Verified operation of the humidifier. Whi

Location of thermostat is right by the front door when a high high volume of people come in and out it causes the thermostat to drop temp causing it to give a messages how system has dropped temp after two hours of running heat. Reset thermostat and cleaned flame sensor on unit also confirmed that pressure switch was working properly. Watched as system ran. Took temp rise on system and confirmed system is functioning properly at this time. I looked back at previous alerts on stat and they have had similar issues in past with cooling and heating

Only Allen was home today. Tested and confirmed the static and cfm issue. Needs at least a 2 star airflow w/ bronze80 system and duct cleaning. 10% discount if scheduled by Fri.

Came out to a critical validation check. The unit itself came to find out the static pressure is extremely high. Heat exchanger is a extremely bad lot of heat stress and amounts of rust inducer on the unit itself needs to be replaced. He could go out at any time hot surface igniter is reading, way high ohms. Blower wheel itself is extremely dirty and probably causing balances on the blower and a lot of stress on the blower motor. Fuel supervisors out now and getting options. Presented to the customer.

Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Checked static pressure and found it is passing at this time. I did change the furnace filter. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. Heat exchanger looks good. All electrical components are running properly at this time. There is a good temp split between the supply air and return air. Blower wheel is collecting some dust, but nothing to crazy. Found system shut off at the thermostat. Thermostat is located at the opposite end of the building and customer was unaware that that thermostat when to that system. Turned thermostat back on and watched unit run and heat . Unit is heat properly at this time

We are waiting on homeowner to get payment method resolved. After arriving, I was getting error codes for low pressure and flame rollout after checking the heat exchanger it was clear that it was cracked in multiple areas leaking carbon into the house. I put a red tag on the system and then look at replacement options. We will be replacing the entire system, furnace AC and coil. We will be replacing a quarterturn valve so that everything is up to code. We will be replacing a flexible gas line with Black iron. And we will be increasing airflow and replacing some register covers. All the extra stuff we will be doing on us.
