Customer called for furnace not working properly. Found furnace running when we arrived but quickly dropped out, upon ignition it was rolling flames out. Inspected furnace and there are components that are near end of service. Contacted field supervisor for assistance, supervisor advised customer on repair options and opted for system replacement.

Upon arrival the furnace was not heating the home. The thermostat was calling for heat but there was no movement at the furnace. I reset the furnace and it fired up for me but shortly after it fired up, it went back out with the error code reading 3 flashes which = pressure switch stuck open. I tested the pressure switches and they are going bad. The system has very high static pressure which is putting too much stress on the unit. I ran a combustion analysis and it was reading at 66ppm of CO which is higher than it should be. Customer wanted some time to think about repairing the system vs. replacing the furnace. My Field Supervisor Nick has given his card to the homeowner for him to call and let us know what he would like to do moving forward. Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis, temperature split, static pressure test, and carbon monoxide tests. Found that the system is operating with failing static pressure. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Found the blower wheel is heavily coated in dust debris. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Found large hot spots and other signs of premature wear. While checking the heat exchanger found that the evaporator coil is coated in debris. Spoke with homeowner about the system. Furnace is operational at this time.

Completed furnace inspection for customer. All aspects of system tested within manufacturer specifications. No recommendations at this time.

Went for a maintenance appointment today. Did a static pressure test, it failed. Did a carbon monoxide leak test and gas leak test, got a small intermittent leak of 1-3ppm and no gas leaks. Gas line going into the furnace was very rusted. Inducer motor in over amping. Combustion analysis test passed. Gas pressure and pressure switch passed. Blower motor amperage passed and blower wheel is rusted. Filter was replaced. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Found flame sensor covered in carbon build up. Cleaned that up and ran all 3 safety checks. Furnace is operating safely at this time. We talked with customer about the amount of dirt in the system and getting the gas pipe up to code. Supervisor will follow up with customer with agreed upon day.

Scam! This free furnace inspection thing felt like a scam from the start. One guys shows up and he says he needs to call another guy because he wasn't sure his meter was reading correctly and that the CO2 was high. Well it just so happened that the other guy was in the area and he brought his equipment in and they found cracks in the heat exchanger and turned the furnace off. He gave me 2 separate quotes for replacement for just the furnace, one for $6696.00 that's with a discount and the other was $8869.00 with a discount. I called a local HVAC company after they left to do an inspection. They showed up today and did an inspection and said there was nothing wrong with the furnace. BEWARE of LBA, and just think of how many people would bite on something like this.
I wanted to get an estimate for replacing my mainline and unclog it, too. They did the scope to assess the line for replacement and I asked them to clear the clog and asked how much it would be for them to do it while they were on site. They said they didn't have the equipment in either van to snake the mainline and didn't offer to call anyone over or get me fixed up. So I went to Home Depot and rented a snake and did the job myself. The guys really were nice enough but they did leave me still stuck with a clog that I thought they would be able to take care of and didn't make any effort to get me fixed up in any way. I really hated leaving this review and didn't want to. But after asking me for a review 3 times, here ya go.

LBA is awesome . Robby the technician came out and serviced the furnace. So everything is in good working order. Robby did an excellent job. Very professional.
JJ was professional, knowledgeable and kind. He diagnosed the problem and explained the resolution process. Our A/C is now working well. Highly recommend LBA.
The attention and service of the guys was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of communication due to the delay. It was planned for 12:00 and the first technician arrived around 15:00.
We count ourselves lucky for customers like you and look forward to working with you again in the future!
LBA was prompt and gave great attention to our situation. I wish they would have had our File from Ideal Temp so they would have had a little more history but they were able to find the problem and repair it so we could get our AC up and running during this last hot spell.
