Customer called stating system wasn’t operating properly. Found that the signal was breaking at the thermostat. Once corrected furnace ran for about 5 minutes and then flames continued dropping out and relighting, found that gas valve relay is faulty. Blower motor was leaking oil. Customer is opting to replace furnace. Turned over to field supervisor for further advisement.

Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Found that the system operating with failing static pressure. Tried to relive enough static pressure to bring the system within manufacturers specifications, but was unable. Set up for a field supervisor to finish the diagnosis on Thursday at 2pm. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Cleaned the flame sensor and retested its performance. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Found rust present where the heat exchanger is prone to failure. Found lots of debris filling the cracks in the ductwork. Used the inspection camera to look inside the ductwork. Found excessive debris built up inside the ductwork. Furnace is operational at this time.

Went for a maintenance call today. Tested for static pressure. System is passing for static. Did a cfm count is short on supply. Based off going on national duct sizing. Did a co test, no co was detected when testing. Inspected heat exchanger no wear and tear. All electrical components are passing for system. Temp split passes for system. Drain line, pressure switch hose and flame sensor are clean. As well as blower wheel. No further wear and tear on system. Thank you for choosing LBA services-Johann.

Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Checked static pressure and found it is failing. A field supervisor is out to look further into that. Carbon monoxide test was 0 ppm. Heat exchanger has some rust forming. Blower wheel needs to be cleaned. All electrical components are running properly at this time. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.

12/4/24 - Completed a full heating maintenance on all equipment. All filters were changed, belts were checked, heat exchangers were checked, and proper operation was tested. Overall, all equipment was in good condition, it was running well, and there were no issues found at this time.

This system was installed correct for the condensation to drain proper. Old line was clogged that we were using. I reinstalled old condensation pump back into the new unit and ran lines to it. Ran system threw all functions and there is no leak anymore.

When system was installed drains on collection box for inducer were not set up for horizontal application.this caused the inducer to flood and not pull air thru the pressure switch. To fix this issue we will need to re run the drain line so we can get a good pitch and the furnace is draining for horizontal application.

For this job, I was showing up because our tech Chase came across a leaking heat exchanger that was putting carbon dioxide into the air. After looking at all the options it is clear that the best way forward would be for system replacement. That way we could do 10 year parts and labor warranty on the entire thing. We could also flip the system so that is facing the opposite direction. Put a new return drop on it with a canon and a 2 inch separation from furnace to coil. We would also replace the Lineset. We can either do the entire system with a free UV light for 11,000. Or we could scrap the UV light and do a full system for 10,500. This is with a military discount and an additional 2000 off.

Came out to home to see why system was vibrating. Before diving into that I ran safety inspection on system. I found carbon monoxide coming into the home. I shut down furnace and ran inspection camera. I found hole in the heat exchanger and showed customer. Evap coil is full of debris as well as the blower. Brought out supervisor to confirm findings. Red tagged furnace and turned gas off to the furnace.

Went for a maintenance call today for furnace. When going to furnace. Did static pressure test. Did have a high reading failing for system. Notified customer wants to leave as is at this time. Did CO testing, no carbon monoxide was detected at this time. Checked heat exchanger no wear and tear on heat exchanger. Did replace filter and cleaned out flame sensor. Arrived to remedy an inoperable furnace. Upon inspection of the system found that it was displaying a fault code for combustion air. Performed diagnostic and found that the system is operating as it should but the vent piping is too long of a run to allow the furnace to operate. Coordinated with the office to arrange install to come out and upsize the combustion air ducting. Fixed the uv light, so that it only comes on when the systems fan is on. Tested static pressure and set the fan speed to the proper setting to bring the system within factory specifications. System is unable to heat until repairs are performed but will be able to cool and circulate the air.

Went for a maintenance call today. Upon arrival went to furnace. When testing for static pressure. Static is rated for .5 on system. System is operating at .6. Did replace filter for customer all vents are open. Blower speeds are set correctly. Had a field supervisor to retest. Supervisor will have solutions to fix static pressure. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did notice one of the PVC was leaking. Did fix repair for customer. Cleaned out flame sensor. Did CO reading for furnace.
