Arrived today because of a gas smell in the furnace room. Did a gas leak search and none was detected. While I here I did a tune up inspection on the system. It’s a 2005 furnace. Ac is 2017. Furnace has several issues and because of this a filed supervisor is out to review everything and give options for replacement. Thanks for choosing LBA.

During a winter storm my heat went out. LBA sent Andrew within a couple of hours. Am so thankful my house is no longer 47 degrees. Andrew was thorough and explained as well as able to troubleshoot the problem and made sure there were no further issues before leaving. Arrive for furnace out. Upon inspection I found that one of the contactors had burnt up. I replaced the contactor and turned system back on. Monitored system to make sure all operations running properly in heat pump and emergency heat. All electrical components are running properly. Good temp split. System is running upon departure. Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I ran a static pressure test. This system is rated for a maximum static pressure of .5 and your system is testing at .86 which is failing currently. Next, I ran a Carbon Monoxide test on the supply air in the system and I got a hit of 190ppm at a maximum. This is very unsafe. The high static has caused the heat exchanger too much stress by running harder than the manufacturer created it to do. This has caused the HX to crack and leak carbon monoxide. Per the EPA Rules & Regulations I am required by law to shut the unit down because it is not safe to operate. We are also required to add a “Red Tag” to the unit which Jamie will have you sign. The stress was also causing the inducer motor to overamp which can cause damage in the future. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call us! Appt was scheduled for 9am to not interfere with getting my kids off to school. The technician called me at 6:55 am to inform me he was going to he there at 8. The technician seemed to be very green. Took over 2 hours for a simple furnace service and filter change. Bounced back and forth from the thermostat to the furnace to the ac unit multiple times. I had to provide him with a screwdriver. He tore my panel off my furnace to sit on my floor and read it for about 30 minutes and forgot to put the panel back on before he left. When wrapping up he tried to upsell me some products but didn't have any knowledge about it. Considering the issues I had with Ideal Temp before this transition and the fact that I paid way too much money for a brand new system only two years ago I need to be able to trust that a professional is going to be here from now on.

Called Saturday morning at 9:20am, explaining the situation and my mother being on Oxygen and my AC was cooling my house by 11:20am.
