Went for a service call. When going to furnace, the furnace wouldn’t turn on. Tested transformer received voltage for 120 and 24 volts. Thermostat was getting correct 24 volts for call. Ac worked when calling. Heat was not working. System has a bad control board. No further work was done for today. Customer would like to order part and replace.

Went for a furnace maintenance today. did a static pressure test, it passed. Did a carbon monoxide leak test, there is a leak. After inspecting the heat exchanger, I found a crack. The furnace is red tagged and gas is shut off to the furnace only. Thank you for choosing LBA services!

Customer called stating system was not heating. Customer noted they did not hear anything happening when they set the thermostat to heat. Found inducer motor extremely hot and over amping. Pulled inducer and found bird stuck in impeller wheel. Pulled bird and reinstalled inducer and cycled power. Furnace began heat sequence and lit, ran in test mode for several minutes to ensure operation. System running normally upon departure.

Completed furnace maintenance and inspection. I checked all components and amp draws. I tested airflow and temp splits. I cleaned up furnace, water heater, and flame sensor. While testing the air pressure on the system I saw that the system failed testing. System’s air pressure is over the max rating designated by the manufacturer. Upon further inspection I noticed signs from the system running over pressurized. The blower wheel is building dust and debris on it, the temperatures from the furnace are on the higher side of the specified range, and the blower is ramping up to try and compensate for the extra pressure it’s dealing with. Furnace is running for now.

Furnace tune up today check static pressure static was passing. Unit was about a year and a half old so everything was checking out on the unit replace filter, cleaned out flame sensor, took ohms and amps on all equipment made sure that the operations of the heating cycle we’re all working perfectly fine. Completed furnace maintenance and inspection. I checked all components and amp draws. I tested air pressure and temp splits. I cleaned up furnace and flame sensor. Air pressure failed testing. This is causing higher temperature splits and causing the blower to ramp up extra to try and keep furnace from overheating. Ultimately it’s making the blower overwork. Supervisor arrived to check in on readings. We notified customer and explained situation with the system.

Went for a maintenance call today. When going to furnace tested for static pressure. System was passing. Did a carbon monoxide test, no co was detected when testing. All electrical components pass for manufacture specifications. Cleaned flame sensor and pressure switch hose. Blower wheel was clean. Temp split was passing for system. Went for warranty. Put In humidifier thermostat, humidifier is up and running again. Wired correctly for customer.

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I did a static pressure test. This system is rated for a maximum of .5 static pressure and it tested at .45 which is passing. I then checked the running amps on 5e inducer motor and blower motor and both were within manufacturer specifications. The temperature rise was within range at 57 degrees. Humidifier is working properly and had water flowing to it. I replaced the filter today with a size 16x25x4 inch filter. I did notice the blower wheel was pretty dirty and I would recommend having it cleaned as your earliest convenience. I will include the estimate with the invoice sent to the email address on file.
