Arrived to perform previously diagnosed repairs. Before committing to the control board replacement, wanted to try one other possible cause of the system failure. Made sure the common wire on the thermostat was wired in. Made sure the common connection was strong to the furnace control board. Tested system operations. Furnace was still inoperable. Replaced furnace control board no found that each power lead for each electrical component of the furnace was placed on the wrong terminals. Made sure to trace out each wire to ensure that the proper part is connected to the proper terminal. Tested system operations. Furnace is functioning according to commands from the thermostat. Furnace is functioning properly at this time.

Came out here for a heating tuneup. Upon arrival tested static static was passing as well as CFM’s everything within the furnace was looking good. It was about eight months old filter was clean, clean flame sensor for the customer ensure that all operations within the heating cycle working perfectly fine. Did have to re-pierced the valve on the humidifier so it’ll work but humidifier working perfectly fine now customers happy with everything I explain to him. Arrived to remedy a fresh install that is not heating. Performed diagnostic and was unable to get the system to generate a fault code. Tested individual safety limits to ensure their operation. Verified airflow in the flue. After corresponding with an experienced field supervisor checked the wiring for the thermostat. Found that there was no c wire connected to the furnace control board. Made the necessary changes and tested system operations. Furnace is functioning properly at this time.

Arrived to remedy an inoperable furnace. Upon inspection of the system found the furnace sitting idle despite having a call for heat present at the furnace control board. Disconnected the thermostat and manually created a call for heat. After cycling power a couple times found that the system started up and ran. Tested system operations while it was running. Found the furnace operating as designed. Determined there is an intermittent communication error on the control board. Will confirm warranty and repair pricing on the morning once parts are located.

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I ran a static pressure test. This system is rated for a maximum of .5 static pressure and it is currently testing at .57 which is above the max. Next, I ran a CO test and got a hit for Carbon Monoxide. I took a temperature split on the system. It was at 149 degrees - 72 degrees = 77 degree temp rise and the maximum temp rise should be below 70 degees. I turned your gas valve down a little bit so it’s not burning quite so hot. I checked the running amps on blower and inducer motor. The inducer is amping a little higher than normal which is caused by the static being too high. I looked over the heat exchanger to see if I could find any cracks but I couldn’t find any with my limited reach. We did get consistent CO hits each time I tested it. Per EPA Rules & Regulations we are required to turn the gas to the furnace off and place a “Red Tag” on the system which has been done. Came out here to test and verify the unit unit was working perfectly fine. Cycled unit multiple times to make sure that it was working perfectly fine out of the many times I cycled it and there was nothing that failed within the cycle operation of the furnace let the customer know that if it happens again, I’m more than likely use a thermostat not sending the correct signal. All wires were tight and getting proper voltage, thank you for choosing LBA

Talk with very good. Homeowner already knew about some of these existing problems when ideal temp brought them to their attention. I explained to the homeowner that the furnace is in rough shape and could need replacement. Also explained that this is a three star ductwork job. I told him we can make a deal bundling them together. Ended up telling him we could do the furnace along with the three star. Homeowner thought the price was reasonable and wants to get the work done. A little while back the homeowner filed for bankruptcy and he will have get a court order to allow them to purchase the system and ductwork. He mentioned having to do the same thing for a car recently and his roof last year. He asked for all the numbers as well as some contact information so he can talk to his lawyer about it on Monday.

Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Started by checking static pressure which is running under the max. Ran a carbon monoxide test and it was 0ppm. Heat exchanger looks good with no rust or cracks. There’s a good temperature split between the return air and supply air. All electrical components are running properly at this time. I changed the furnace filter today too. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.
