Arrived at customers for furnace tuneup, and during the inspection, we discovered there was a shortage of CFM count that failed on the Supply short of 305 CFM. Other than that all other components met within factory specs.

Went for a service call today. Customer mentioned that she believes the inducer motor is acting up. after diagnosing the unit, I noticed that the inducer motor was having some issues. after checking the heat exchanger. I found multiple cracks so I read tag the unit and shut the gas off to it. Thank you for choosing LBA services!
//////;((////(*////(/ Hard start, txv valve, compressor, liquid line filter, shipping covered under warranty. There will also be some labor covered and possibly the refrigerant. I will be checking with Tom in the A.M. to drop off warranty parts. ()(()(/()///(**((*(*(**((/((*((((( This is a warranty repair. The compressor was replaced. In addition to this a hard-start kit, a bleed through txv valve and a filter drier was also installed. The compressor was checked after installation. The system was vacuumed properly and was charged to the manufacturer’s specs. During this visit I met Mitch and he explained to me that the breaker for the outside condenser was tripping immediately. This started occurring yesterday. I checked the supply voltage and removed the compressor from the circuit. The outdoor fan ran properly and within amp rating for the motor. The capacitor was checked and it was also in range (40.45, 40uf). The compressor motor leads were ohmed (200+,300+ and open). The outdoor fan was removed and the compressor leads were visually checked then removed. The compressor was megged at the terminals to cleaned copper. The compressor has electrically failed in this condenser. I checked for any signs of leaking refrigerant at the condenser, compressor, txv and the filter drier with no evidence of a refrigerant oil discovered. I attached a pressure gauge and confirmed that the system does have refrigerant. I relayed this information to Rick and also have contacted the supplier and left a message with them to contact us regard
For this job I was performing a maintenance of an AC and furnace. The system is 9 years old and is showing some age, but still operating safely. at first set of pressure was high but I called the supervisor and we were able to get this issue fixed. Typically we will charge for this however, we will do it as a courtesy today. All electric Simmons were operating well and within manufacture specifications refrigerant levels looks good pressure temperature differences and combustible. Gas levels were all good, they were a few areas of heat exchanger that we need to keep an ion and I posted photos. The key thing we are focusing on that needs to be addressed as soon as possible is the microbial growth and mold that is forming in the condenser coil box. In the duct system is extremely dirty, which is causing airflow problems, and putting dirt and debris and germs in to the air .

Upon arrival I began the AC tune up. First, I did a static pressure test in the system. It is rated for a maximum of .5 and my readings today show it to be failing at .8. Field Supervisor Scott is going to come over to verify my findings and see what we can do to lower this system static pressure. The blower motor is amping properly and the blower wheel looks pretty clean to me. The outdoor unit running amps on the compressor and fan motor are both within specs. The dual run capacitor is a 40/5mfd and it’s within specs on both sides. The refrigerant charge looks good and I don’t see any leaks in the system. It is cooling the house properly at this time. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us! Have a great week!
Today (6/26/24) I replaced the failed compressor under warranty. This system was installed on July 11th 2023. A new liquid line drier was also installed. The refrigerant was recovered, the new components installed. Nitrogen was used during brazing. The system was pressure checked with nitrogen at 225psi. The nitrogen was released and the system was vacuumed below 800 microns, the vacuum was broken with nitrogen and then the system was vacuumed down below 500 microns. The vacuum held for 30 mins. The system was then charged with R-410a using the manufacturer’s charging chart for this system. Tech notes: condenser: York, m/n YC2D18SB21SA, s/n C2C3491725, new comp. (Compressor amps are in range after charging the system) DT 17* high humidity wb 72

Called and quoted repair to customer, customer declined.
Assessed mini spilt system as customer stated it was not cooling. Outdoor unit operating properly, indoor head is non responsive to emergency over ride, not illuminating any leds on head and just generally non responsive to a call for cooling. Parts will have to be sourced before any repair estimates can be built.
During this visit the compressor for the 1.5 ton split system A/C that was installed in July of 2023 has failed. This repair will be under warranty. A new compressor was not in stock locally at this time. A new compressor was ordered from the manufacturer to be shipped to our office. The arrival time was quoted as early next week. The disconnect to the unit has been left in the off position with the indoor unit still powered for use of the indoor blower motor. Thank you, Jon Tech notes: m/n YC2D18SB21SA, s/n C2C3491725. Line voltage 242.4, cap 40+5 in range, open windings between two terminals, failed megohmeter test, compressor tries for a split second to start.
