Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis and static pressure tests. Found system is operating with failing static pressure. Reached out to a field supervisor to finish the diagnosis on the systems static pressure. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components in the furnace. Cleaned the flame sensor and tested its performance. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Checked for carbon monoxide in the air stream. Spoke with homeowner about the system. Furnace is operational at this time.

Customer called stating system was not heating. It was found that the thermostat wire for heat had broke or slipped out of position and was not sending signal. Repaired wire and system operating normally again.

After doing for home inspection and five star we started figuring out exactly what was causing it. Which included running an auger down the main line followed by camera. Cynthia requested a change in job scope to include only the furnace replacement and Chimney liner install (ECONOMY option).

Cynthia approved the replacement of the old furnace, removal of the airflow restriction that is causing high static pressure, and installing a chimney liner.

Tune up completed

Thermostat is up and running. Took the batteries out for a minute to reset it, then put them back in.

Upon arrival I began the furnace tune up. First, I did a static pressure test which is rated for a maximum of .5 and your system is testing at .42 which is passing. Next, I did a CO check and found Zero PPM(parts per million). I checked the running amps on your inducer and blower motor and both were within manufacturer specifications. The temperature rise should be between 35 & 65 degrees and your system was testing at 48 degrees which is good. We replaced your filter today with a 210Aprilaire 20x25x4 inch Merv 11 filter. I also noticed the furnace has no surge protection on it, if that’s something you decide you want us to install please just let us know when your ready. Your system is running properly at this time. Came out here for a heating maintenance, as well as to install a new solenoid valve for the humidifier checked all the components within the air handler itself. Static pressure was passing. The inside of the unit was clean blower wheel was clean amps for the heat strips on auxiliary heat were working perfectly fine amps within the blower motor and we’re good as well. Cleaned unit replace filter replaced solenoid valve and ensure that it was running. Everything is up and running. Thank you for choosing LBA

Went for a furnace maintenance call today. Started off with a static pressure test, it failed. After testing for carbon monoxide, there was no leaks. Did a combustion analysis test, it passed. Temp split between the supply and return duct passed. Gas pressure, passed. Pressure switch passed as well. Blower motor amperage passed. Blower wheel was dirty. For this call, I was checking high static pressure. However, with this particular home, there’s not any room for improvement. We did the best airflow. We could get the system when we installed it. We just need to keep an eye on some of the primary components in particularly the heat exchanger.

Went for a furnace maintenance call today. Did a static pressure test, it passed. When checking for carbon monoxide with my meter, it showed that the furnace was leaking carbon monoxide. When checking the heat exchanger, I found rust and a crack in it. The gas to the furnace is shut off and the unit is red tagged. Thank you for choosing LBA services!
